The best way to get to Yellowstone is by flying and renting a car. Even though the location of the park is remote, there are numerous airports within range.

Public Transport:

Unfortunately, there is no public transport to or near Yellowstone National Park.

Weather

The weather in Yellowstone can be unpredictable. In the summer, the highs can surpass 70°F, but may drop 20 degrees when afternoon thunderstorms roll in. It can snow during any month of the year, and in the winter, lows typically drop below 0°F. Be sure to prepare for these temperatures by bringing a range of clothing, including a jacket and raincoat.

Yellowstone National Park has a variety of options for staying overnight in the park. There are nine lodges, twelve campgrounds, and hundreds of backcountry campsites.

All lodges are open from the spring to the fall, and only two are open in the winter.

Yellowstone is home to a wide variety of restaurants and dining facilities. All of these are located close to lodges.
